Encourage, and BE encouraged!

I had some free time today and signed on to MyTotalMoneyMakeover.com, Dave Ramsey’s subscription service that offers additional tools and personal tracking of your progress through the Baby Steps and all three hours of the radio show without the commercials.  Also available on the site is an instant messaging client.  There I met someone who had a question and wanted some good advice.  We chatted for a bit and then he (I think it was a ”he”) shared his details – Income, debt, house mortgage, kids, taxes, all the stuff that effects our finances.  I was able to give him options to think about and links to resources to help him on his Total Money Makeover.  He thanked me and left the chat feeling encouraged.  And SO DID I!

In 6 weeks I will further my financial training.  I received my Workplace Trainer Certification in August 2007, and it was there that one-on-one counseling was really my calling.  Since then I have saved my money and am about to attend the Counselor Training program.  I am encouraged, excited, and ready to help!  Wish me luck!
